Dykes Lumber Sees the Benefits of Going Solar in Queens, NY

A few years ago, Dykes Lumber and PowerFlex partnered on a rooftop-mounted solar system in Long Island City, New York. The completed system is over 196 kW in size and provides the clean energy equivalent of powering more than 30 homes a year for the next 25 years. The system is saving Dykes $3,000 a month on electricity and receives tax breaks and incentives from NYSERDA. The system will provide Dykes with a full return on its investment in just 3 years.
